SOUPS AND SALADS

Baked French Onion Soup $4
Another long time favorite recipe we learned at Isabelle's. Drawn from a stock pot simmered for 72 hours. Fresh sauteed onions are then added. Served in a crock topped with toast rounds and stringy Gruyere cheese.

Julie Ann's Salad $7.50
Mixed greens topped with thin slices of turkey breast, ham, Swiss and American cheeses, then finished with tomato, onion and egg. Served with your choice of our homemade dressings.(Bleu cheese $1.79 extra)

Chicken Caesar Salad $12
Marinated, char-broiled breast of chicken, sliced and served warm over "Isabelle's recipe" with fresh tomato, onion, and crutons.

Caesar Salad $7
A recipe that we are very proud to continue. Made with fresh crisp romaine lettuce, the freshest ingredients, superior olive oil and Parmesan cheese.

Luncheon Salad $3
A smaller portion of the Oaks dinner salad made with the same crisp greens, tomato, onion, cucumber and beets.

Spinach Salad $7
Fresh picked iced spinach leaves topped with egg, onion, fresh mushrooms, tomato and crutons. Served with hot bacon dressing.

Sauteed Lake Perch $13
Lightly floured and quickly sauteed to a golden brown. Served with a drawn butter. One our specialties.

Chopped Sirloin $9
Ground Angus Chuck broiled to your liking and smothered under sauteed mushrooms and Bordelaise sauce. If you prefer try Bleu cheese and grilled onions for an extra 1.00.

Lemon Chicken $9
Boneless, skinless breast of chicken char-broiled, served over rice pilaf and finished with a sauce of lemon, garlic, mushrooms, white wine and butter.

Broiled Garlic Shrimp $12
Morsels of Gulf Shrimp served en casserole with fresh garlic, sherry wine, butter and a sprinkling of bread crumbs.

An excellent luncheon steak char-broiled to your liking and served with mushrooms and onion ring.

Johns Patented Plattered Ribs $12 Half Slab/ Full slab $16
We are especially proud of our ribs because of their unique preparation and unusual presentation. The ribs are cooked in a customized oven and at the same time slowly smoked with Hickory wood. They are served on John's pantented platter which he designed to make rib eating more convenient and less messy.

Lean thin sliced beef simmered in a tasty au jus. Served with roasted peppers, onion and mozarella cheese on a crisp French bread.

Cajun Breast of Chicken Sandwich $8
Mildly seasoned boneless breast,charbroiled and served with a side of garlic dressing.

Sliced turkey, ham, Swiss and American cheeses, lettuce, tomato and mayonnaise on your choice of breads.

In memory of our Polish Uncle Reuben. A heaping of thinly sliced corned beef, Sauerkraut and Swiss Cheese all grilled on Labriola Rye Bread.

Italian Panini $8.75
The fillings willl change with the Chef's whim but the style will remain the same. Prepared on a traditional Italian sandwich grill that gives the sandwich a wonderful crunchy texture. Ask your server for today's preparation.
